Why teeth grow crooked
Crooked teeth are often the sign of habits rather than the cause: breathing through the mouth, the tongue resting low instead of on the palate, or swallowing the wrong way. These habits keep the jaws narrow, so the teeth lack space.
How Myobrace works
A soft, removable appliance is worn for 1–2 hours during the day and overnight, together with simple exercises at home (we give a printed sheet). Regular reviews follow the progress.
The four pillars
- Nasal breathing — breathing quietly through the nose, day and night.
- Tongue posture — the tongue resting on the palate, supporting the arches.
- Muscle balance — relaxed lips and cheeks, less strain on the jaws.
- A stable result — treating the cause helps the teeth stay in place.
Children and adults
It works best while children are growing (about 5 to 15 years old), when the jaws can still develop. Adults also benefit from myofunctional training, for mouth breathing, jaw strain and mild crowding. After an examination we explain what can be expected in your case.
